In Tamil, this flower is commonly known as Karthigaipoo (கார்த்திகைப்பூ) because it grows during the Tamil month of Karthigai (November–December).

Whether displayed in ceremonies, worn in remembrance, or cherished as a cultural symbol, the Glory Lily serves as a powerful representation of Tamil identity and the enduring legacy of those commemorated on Maaveerar Naal.

ABOUT PEARL

People for Equality and Relief in Lanka (PEARL) is a grassroots organization led by human rights activists concerned about the situation in Sri Lanka. PEARL uses research and advocacy to promote and protect the human rights of Tamil people in the North-East of Sri Lanka. • If you would like framing for a size other than the large, please let me know in the checkout and I can help you. Framed prints must be picked up in person in Markham/GTA. ➤ SHIPPING:

The utmost care goes into packaging this special piece just for you! You may choose to pick up in person in Pickering for free or I can ship it to you! Your Print will arrive securely rolled in a tube or flat mailer. Carefully lay them out on a clean dry surface for a couple of hours to flatten before framing. 

➤ CARE:

Paper prints are more delicate and it's highly recommended that your print be framed behind glass. 

It isn't recommended to have your print out in the open, as they will get dirty from dust and everyday particles which overtime will affect the colors of the prints.. Not to mention they can easily get damaged, particularly the corners.
